Privacy Policy
Last updated
phdnursingprograms.com is a publisher. It does not sell anything directly, and it does not ask you to create an account. This page says what it collects anyway, because every site collects something.
What Gets Collected
- Analytics. Pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate location from your IP address, and your browser and device type. This is used to work out which pages are useful and which are not.
- Server logs. Standard web-server records of requests, including IP address and timestamp, kept for security and troubleshooting.
- Anything you email us. If you write to help@hakia.com, we keep the email so we can reply to it and act on it.
There is no account system, no newsletter signup, and no contact form on this site, so there is no database of personal details behind it.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Analytics use cookies or equivalent browser storage to tell a returning visit from a new one. Your browser's own settings will block or delete these, and the site works without them. A single item of local storage remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme.
Third Parties
Program links on this site point to the universities' own websites. Once you follow one, that university's privacy policy applies and this one no longer does. Where a link is a partner link, the partner may record that the visit came from here. We do not pass them your email address or any other personal detail, because we do not hold one.
Analytics and hosting are handled by third-party providers who process this data on our behalf and under contract.
What We Do Not Do
We do not sell personal information. We do not buy email lists. We do not run retargeting advertising that follows you off this site.
Your Rights
If you are in the EU, the UK, California, or another jurisdiction with data-protection rights, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email help@hakia.com and we will act on it within 30 days. Because we hold almost nothing, the answer is usually short.
Children
This site is written for people choosing a doctoral program and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
